UTKARSH - HOME FOR THE CHILDREN HAVING CANCER

We provide support services to children affected from Cancer.

To arrange financial support to children with cancer (and families) coming from economically challenged background and unable to pay for treatment costs and other expenses-stay, food etc when they come to Ahmadabad, for treatment.
To provide support for accommodation for the child and family to stay in Ahmadabad city during the duration of treatment.
To provide blood product support for all children with cancer who are undergoing treatment at Hospital in Ahemdabad.
Nutrition support-both for children and the family/relatives when they come to Ahmadabad city for treatment.
To provide Counseling support to all children who attend hospitals and their family members.
To adequately educate all children/families regarding infection control while on chemotherapy and conduct active surveillance for multidrug resistance organisms and isolation of the same.
Indoor games like carom, chase, drawing etc.
Visit nearest places - as advised by Doctor's and family/relatives.

LINK WORKER SCHEME

We are working in 100 villages of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar District with the help of Health and family welfare department, Government of Gujarat, GSACS and NACO.
Create awareness on HIV/AIDS, TB and STI.
We arrange awareness programme like group meeting, CBS Camp, Advocacy Meeting, Health Camp, Street Play, Video Show, Stigma reduction Activity etc.
Linkages with Government system and Infrastructure.
